831C-50 is a variant of the 830C-50 motorised lock without a handle-operated latch, intended primarily for doors with an automatic operator. The hook bolt is extended and retracted by a motor; lock class 3. The lock works as a Hi-O device with door operation synchronisation and status monitoring via I/O BOX 360 and DAC controllers.
