Classical representative interiors: pale inlaid marble, oak herringbone parquet, wall panelling with gilded trim and grey marble washrooms.
For the Imam al-Bukhari Centre in Samarkand, Domus Regia supplied the finishing materials for the halls, lounges, offices and washrooms.
Halls and corridors. The pale marble floors are inlaid: beige bands and black inserts form a geometric pattern beneath every chandelier. The same stone continues onto the steps of the main staircase.
Lounges and offices. The living areas have oak parquet — herringbone in the large lounges and planks in the offices. Throughout the building the walls are clad in boiserie panels with fine gilded mouldings that tie every room into one style.
Washrooms. Walls and floors are entirely in grey marble with white veining; mixers and accessories are in a gold finish that matches the panelling.
